VISION
Our education programs aim to support long-term solutions to chronic effects of war through:
EQUIP
Knowledge and Skills
Equipping students with knowledge and skills for increased learning outcomes that equal practical, innovative, and adaptive livelihoods.
INSTILL
Building Future Leaders
Instilling students with the values of servant leadership, growth mindsets, and critical thinking skills for supportive, ethical, and democratic governance.
RESTORE
Uniting Communities
Restoring lost identity by promoting learning from one another by teaching local and regional histories and cultures.
These are the values that make us unique
We Are
Not Leaving
Despite the war, we continue to serve children and their communities by focusing on work that creates the greatest impact.
Keeping it local
Everything we do is designed and created by the communities we serve to meet their greatest needs and desires.
Motivated through Christ Jesus
We believe that the impossible becomes possible only through faith and love freely provided by Jesus Christ.
Through faith in Jesus, we provide education to communities in areas affected by conflict, so future generations have the knowledge, skills, and values to improve all aspects of their lives.
Our Story
Ryan and Jazira started To Move Mountains after living years in Sudan’s conflict zone of the Nuba Mountains. Despite the war, children still walked to school in caves and under trees. Our founders wanted to support those desires for long-lasting change.
To Move Mountains is led by a team of dedicated professionals with a heart for education and many years of experience in the region.
